Brad’s 46-year professional career was primarily as architect in Philadelphia, PA, but his painting career began in 1996 when his wife, Dale, and their 6 year old daughter, Sloane, encouraged him to take his drawing skills further. The initial thought was that it would provide an activity that both he and his daughter could enjoy together, since Sloane started drawing from the minute she could grasp a crayon, and Dale thought it would keep him distracted from buying another sports car. His art career flourished and he continues to exhibit in juried shows and galleries across the country.
Brad’s architectural background is clearly visible in his paintings of old historic buildings such as movie theatres, wooden roller coasters, roadside diners and iconic everyday landmarks that evoke early memories of childhood. He’s also hooked on old typewriters, vintage cameras and classic motorcycles.
His preferred medium is acrylics, but he has started exploring with oils. Commission work is considered.
